Wishful Thinking... December 2008

Goose!

Tonight, at bedtime, we were sealing the deal on getting Lane in the bed. This is a feat of mental strength. I was fading fast and had laid across his bed for a break. Well, Brad was suckered into "a game of Simon Says just one time." After the 5 minute game/cardio workout, Lane wanted to play again. Brad told him that Mommy would have to play instead. Lane said I couldn't play because I was asleep. Brad, funny guy, said, "I'll bet she'd wake up if you goosed her." So...... Lane proceeded to play an impromptu game of Duck. Duck. Goose! Guess who was the goose. Little knot-head!

Baby, it's COLD outside!

Where, oh where, did the warm weather go? It is COLD! They don't call it Sweet Home Alabama for nothing. We like it warm here! We were a tad dissappointed that there was not quite enough snow to make a tiny snowman this week. Hopefully, the one morning of snow won't be a once-in-a-lifetime event for the boys. They really enjoyed their FIRST snow, so I guess I can stand the cold if it means we get to have a little of the white stuff. BTW, Lane was excited on Friday to find out about the snow coming. He said he was excited that we were going to have a "white Christmas"! Brad told him we would just be having a "white Saturday" - to ward off the hopes of Santa coming back so soon.

With the on-set of the new year comes those dreaded resolutions to do and be better. Well, I'm not a fan of coming up with resolutions for the heck of it. I never make them. That way, I never break them! :-) I'm a smart girl. But, this time, I'm taking a chance. I'm working on a couple of areas. I guess you could say I'm trying to step it up a little. Mostly, it boils down to me trying to grow up some. I suppose it's about time for that. Although, I'm still only about 23 in my own mind! ;)

We have arrived! January 17, 2008

Well, here we are. The Castleberrys are finally beginning to catch up with the rest of the world. I'm sure you'll find some stuff here soon. We'll see just how much I stay up to date with this. :-)
